Why did Mansukh enter into the field of education and research?
We always wanted to promote research and education in the field of financial markets. What are the career prospects for people wanting a career in financial markets?
Indian financial markets are growing at an increasing pace and many domestic and global players are entering the Indian Markets as a result there is shortage of skilled manpower. Besides many of the existing players are in the mode of expansion and therefore there are bright career prospects in this industry. Although the salary levels and job profile will depend on the candidate's previous experience, training and education, people can start their career as a Dealer in Equities, Derivative, Commodities or Forex markets. With experience, they can move up to become a Trader (jobber/arbitrageur/speculator/hedger/intra-day). Any finance degree (CA/MBA/CS etc..) coupled with market knowledge can give you rewarding back-office jobs, which are in high demand today such as Surveillance/Risk Manager or a Compliance Officer. People with good marketing background can easily get a job as an Account Manager/CRM in the financial services segment with a packages comparable to any B/B+ management school graduate. Candidates with good analytical skills can start their career as Equity/Research Analyst or Technical Analyst with a few years of experience, one can explore more entrepreneurial options such as becoming a sub-broker, fund manager, Investment banker etc.. Are these courses offered only in Delhi?

Are there other institutes offering similar courses. If so, how your institute is different from others?
Though there are many such institutes offering similar courses, many of them established before our MIFM, the only thing which we would like to say is that the alumi is the best judge about any institute. Besides one purpose of MIFM was to enable to gain such exposure and knowledge which makes them acceptable in any organization and is evaluated right from the time one goes for the interview to the stage of final recruitment and appraisal. Here the entire difference will arise.

Do you also offer long term courses in the financial markets?
At present we are offering diploma courses of three month’s duration. Besides this we are also offering 1 month short courses. So at present we donot offer for courses more than 3 months duration.

There are a large number of investors who are looking for an organization that can impart training in usage of technical indicators mostly used by FIIs and experienced traders. Our skill-oriented Technical Analysis course makes a candidate a successful SWING & DAY trader. The course explains investor psychology and the pitfalls that one should avoid while trading. The candidates learn winning trading strategies, are able to improve market entry/exit timings thereby maximizing profits & minimizing losses. They also learn better money and risk management techniques. Although this course is 100% skill-oriented, it has helped people get very good jobs as Technical Analysts in the industry.

It is understood that the commodity market is likely to explode. Do you also offer any training in commodity market as well?
According to analysts, the commodity market is going to outgrow Stock market multifold in volume of business generated and jobs as well. The commodity market involves the Indian economy on a much greater scale than stock markets do. They involve the entire financial market and the entire farm sector that contributes close to 30% of our GDP! With such a large number of market participants, it is obvious that commodities market is going to be huge. We believe that people getting early into the commodities market would have the first-movers advantage and therefore we launched our Commodity Trading, Operations and Management course. The program explains the commodity market operations in great detail and is strongly supplemented with hands-on live trading experience on NCDEX, MCX and even International commodity market such as COMEX.
